(West Palm Beach, FL – June 6, 2016)  The Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts today announced that subscriptions to the ninth annual series of Kravis On Broadway, which will present a record number of seven smash hits from the Great White Way, including several multiple Tony Award® winners, will go on sale to the public on Friday, June 17, at 10 am.
 
“The 2016-2017 Kravis On Broadway season boasts a powerful line-up and four of them are making their Kravis Center debut,” says Lee Bell, the Kravis Center’s Senior Director of Programming. “Best of all, for the first time, we will be presenting as many as seven major shows.”

THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME, winner of five 2015 Tony Awards® including Best Play, is coming to the Kravis Center as part of the 2016-2017 season. Hailed as “One of the most fully immersive works ever to wallop Broadway” by The New York Times, this is “dazzling” (Associated Press) adaptation is the Tony Award®-winning new play by Simon Stephens, adapted from Mark Haddon’s best-selling novel, and directed by Tony winner Marianne Elliott. Fifteen-year-old Christopher has an extraordinary brain; he is exceptionally intelligent but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. Another Kravis Center debut, BEAUTIFUL – THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL tells the inspiring true story of King’s remarkable rise to stardom, from being part of a hit songwriting team with her husband Gerry Goffin, to her relationship with fellow writers and best friends Cynthia Weil and Barry Mann, to becoming one of the most successful solo acts in popular music history. Along the way, she made more than beautiful music, she wrote the soundtrack to a generation. Featuring a stunning array of beloved songs written by Gerry Goffin/Carole King and Barry Mann/Cynthia Weil, including “I Feel The Earth Move,” “One Fine Day,” “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” “You’ve Got A Friend” and the title song. BEAUTIFUL – THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL has a book by Tony® Award-nominee and Academy® Award-nominated writer Douglas McGrath, direction by Marc Bruni, choreography by Josh Prince, and won two 2014 Tony® Awards and a 2015 Grammy® Award.

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
Cameron Mackintosh’s spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA premieres at the Kravis Center as part of a brand new North American Tour. Critics are raving that this breathtaking production is “bigger and better than ever before” and features a brilliant new scenic design by Paul Brown, Tony Award®-winning original costume design by Maria Björnson, lighting design by Tony Award®-winner Paule Constable, new choreography by Scott Ambler, and new staging by director Laurence Connor. The production, overseen by Matthew Bourne and Cameron Mackintosh, boasts many exciting special effects including the show’s legendary chandelier.
