The 29th Annual Engineering Competition took place at the South Florida Science Center & Aquarium on Saturday, April 11th, 2015. A total of $5,000 in cash & prizes was awarded to elementary, middle and high school students who entered the competition. There were five categories of competition, including Drop It, Build It, Float It, Launch It and Thrill It. It was a great day for budding scientists in South Florida!
Here’s a video of one of the excellent “Thrill It” entries, a rollercoaster that took these two students eight weeks to build.
Here’s a video of engineer Charles Young (aka Mr. Why) illustrating one of Sir Isaac Newton’s laws of motion.
