February, 2013 – The 7th Annual Wild Things Art Show

Artists and friends gathered together for the Wild Things Art Show at the Pferdekamper Studio in Loxahatchee on Sunday, February 10th to benefit the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation. www.rarespecies.org. Highlights included beautiful art work inspired by nature, wonderful appetizers catered by the International Polo Club, live art demonstrations and a “painted lady,” (Yazenia Almeida as living art for the evening, painted by Becky Osborne-Phillips to represent a raku ceramic vessel by Maria Hayden). Karen McGovern of the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation gathered the crowd together for a few minutes to introduce the artists and talk about the important work that is done by the RSCF. A few animals were on display during the evening as well. The art show continued from February 10 – 12th. Artists include: Norman Gitzen, Melinda Moore, Anthony Burks, Rollin McGrail, Janet Heaton, Gisela Pferdekamper, Jean Hutchinson, Mindy Colton, Donatella Linari, Sasha Lickle, Jill Elisofon, Karen McGovern, Jackie Harris, Maria Hayden, EarthART and more.
