USA all the Way for the Win at WEF Nations Cup

On March 2, 2019, Wellington Equestrian Festival hosted its 18th Nations Cup where nine nations competed for top ranking and $150,000. Teams of four represented Venezuela, Ireland, Israel, Columbia, Brazil, Canada, Columbia, Mexico and the USA.  

It was clear from the start that team USA, (McLain Ward, Wilton Porter, Beeze Madden, Adrienne Sternlicht and Chef d’ Robert Ridland) were there to win it and led the course from the first round.

Team Ireland (Daniel Coyle, Shane Sweetnam, Paul O’Shea and Lorcan Gallaher) took second and team Canada (Nikki Walker, Beth Underhill, Amy Miller and Mario Deslauriers) came in third. 

During the Nations Cup, the Global Lyme Alliance hosted its first annual Equestrian event creating awareness and a call to action for both humans and horses. For more information on the GLA please visit
