The Men’s Golf Association of the Wycliffe Golf and Country Club in Wellington held its annual golf tournament to benefit prostate cancer research on Wednesday, November 10th. Over 260 individuals participated, and $30,000 was raised and presented to the Pap Corps to be directed to the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami. The event’s organizers, Len Keilin and Al Lebowitz, were delighted by the turnout and the good weather and said ” We’re gratified by the support of the Wycliffe community for this important activity. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and remains the second highest cause of men’s cancer deaths. Progress is being made every year, but there’s still a lot of work to do until this disease is eradicated. We would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped make this event a success and particularly want to single out Paul Rifenberg, Wycliffe’s Director of Golf, and his staff for their help in this effort.
