The 2022 edition of the 11th annual GPL tournament and event took place last week in Wellington, FL.
Excited fans and participants gathered at the International Polo Club stadium field to witness and partake in a fun filled day of polo and good times.
There was a four team round robin qualifier to see who would play off for the “Senator’s Cup” trophy.
Tha Baccarat team led by Agustin Arellano and comprised of William Ellis, Alex Rata and Ryan Cronin-Prather came away with a 10-5 victory against the team from Cherry Knoll Farm made up of Lala Laplacette, Tyler Thompson, Adrian Pia and Gus Larrosa.
Witnessing the play for the past 10 years, I can honestly say that the quality of play was at its highest level yet.
Chip McKenney, founder and President of the GPL can be quite proud of what this event has turned into.
In addition, The Palm Beach Sports Commission has named the GPL as the recipient of the “Champion of Equity & Diversity in Sports” award.
