2017 South Florida Fair opens tonight with Ride-A-Thon, full fair on Friday
Who/What: South Florida Fair opens tonight with its annual Ride-A-Thon.
When: Starts at 5 p.m. tonight, Jan. 12. Full fair begins at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow, Jan. 13. Gates open at 11 a.m. for opening ceremony.

Ways to get in free:
• Attend the fair’s opening ceremony, 11:30 a.m., Fri., Jan. 13, for free admission –
Those who attend the fair’s opening ceremony in the Expo West building will be admitted free but guests should plan to arrive early, as seating is limited.
• Get a free admission ticket by attending opening day, Fri., Jan. 13, and using an advance admission ticket -Guests may use their advance admission ticket on opening day of the fair and receive one free admission ticket to return another day, Jan. 14-29, compliments of Publix.

• Child’s admission, under 12 – $8 gate (5 years and younger are free)
• 60 and older – $9
Parking:
Parking is free in the Ford parking lot. Preferred parking: $10 weekdays and $20 – weekends

The fair also has set up a radio station —1690 AM — with a broadcast radius of about three miles to provide traffic, parking and scheduling information for people coming to the fair. The message will change at least once daily, depending on the need or situation.
