WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. (June 13, 2022) – Hosted by the City of West Palm Beach4thon Flagler, one of the largest Independence Day events in South Florida, will return to the West Palm Beach waterfront (along Flagler Drive between Banyan Boulevard and Fern Street) on Monday, July 4, 2022, from 6 – 10 p.m. 

4th on Flagler activities will include live entertainment, the Bill Bone 5K, the Palm Beach Health Network Family Chill Zone, a Military Honor Salute, and refreshments for purchase. An 18-minute fireworks show is scheduled to ignite at 9:09 p.m., weather permitting, over the Intracoastal Waterway. Those who prefer to watch the show from the comfort of their home can tune in to a live broadcast of WPBF 25: 4TH ON FLAGLER LIVE FIREWORKS at 9 p.m. 

“Set along the beautiful West Palm Beach waterfront, 4th on Flagler is packed with patriotic revelry, entertainment, food, fun and fireworks in celebration of Independence Day,” said West Palm Beach Mayor Keith A. James. “There is something for everybody at 4th on Flagler. I invite everyone to join us.” 

“4th on Flagler is our largest single-day event of the year,” said Mary Pinak, community events manager. “This year promises to be just as festive and fun with live music, roving entertainment, holiday-themed food and drinks for purchase, and of course, our 18-minute fireworks show!”

4th on Flagler activities schedule/locations:

NewDay USA stage | Great Lawn, 100 N. Clematis Street

  • Live music by Reverend Barry & The Funk (funk/soul/R&B) (6 – 8:45 p.m.)

Reverend Barry & The Funk are an 8-piece funk band featuring a 3-piece horn section. This talented band features multiple Grammy-nominated musicians and is one of the fastest-rising “buzzworthy” acts in Florida.

  • Military Honor Salute (8:45 p.m.)

The Military Honor Salute will include remarks by Mayor Keith A. James, a live performance of the National Anthem, and the presentation of the annual Hometown Hero award. 

Palm Beach Health NetworkFamily Chill Zone | Meyer Amphitheatre, 104 Datura Street

  • The Palm Beach Health Network Family Chill Zone will feature a DJ, kid-friendly inflatables (unlimited play available for $5) an interactive kids’ area, a face painter, and the Florida Power & Light Strolling Entertainers as they make their way throughout the event site. Roving entertainment includes a magician, stilt walkers, a juggler and more. 

Post Park | 315 S. Flagler Drive 

  • Bill Bone 5K 

The 2nd annual Bill Bone 5K begins and ends at Post Park. The race begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. and proceeds will benefit the Wounded Veterans Relief Fund. To register, click here

  • DJ spinning live music 

Blankets and chairs are recommended. Parking is available in City of West Palm Beach public parking garages for flat rates of $10 at the Banyan, Evernia and City Center garages, and $5 at the Clematis and Sapodilla garages. The Banyan and Evernia garages are closest to these events.
