Wellington to Launch Shop Wellington Online Directory of Local Businesses
Wellington is strengthening its support system for local businesses by launching Shop Wellington, an online directory connecting everything from home-based businesses to offices and storefronts with potential customers. Shop Wellington is an online directory that will allow people to search for businesses by name and type of establishment. As a part of this free service, participating business owners will have the opportunity to customize their own micro-webpages with information, coupons, and links to their company website or social networking pages.
“We are excited that this program will enhance local spending and make it easier for residents to support Wellington businesses when shopping for goods and services,” said Long Range Planning Director Tim Stillings.
Shop Wellington will debut in late March 2012 and will be accessible on Wellington’s website at www.wellingtonfl.gov. Once the website goes live, all Wellington business owners with a valid, up-to-date business tax receipt will have the ability to update their listing.
