YWCA Announces Finalists for Grace Dodge Award

 

The YWCA of Palm Beach County has announced three finalists for the prestigious Grace Hoadley Dodge award to be presented at the organization’s annual 95th anniversary luncheon to take place on Wednesday, June 13th at Bear Lakes Country Club. The finalists are Palm Beach County residents Cynthia Allen Gracey, Johanna Kandel and Angelica Ligas. Ms. Gracey is an attorney and business consultant who founded the Executive Women of the Palm Beaches. Ms. Kandel is the Founder and CEO of The Alliance for Eating Disorders Awareness and Ms. Ligas is a surgical nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital who works tirelessly to help women in her Philippine homeland to gain further education.

 

Suzanne Turner, CEO of the YWCA expressed that these three women definitely exemplify the mission of the YWCA of empowering women; “All three women have overcome considerable adversity and have demonstrated their commitment to helping women of all walks of life to become more successful, as did Grace Hoadley Dodge.
