JEANNE PHILLIPS TO SPEAK AT ANNUAL KIDSANCTUARY CAMPUS LUNCHEON ON JANUARY 22, 2013 IN PALM BEACH

PALM BEACH, FL (January 10, 2013) – Jeanne Phillips, aka writer Abigail Van Buren, author of the legendary “Dear Abby” syndicated advice column will be speaking at the Annual KidSanctuary Campus Luncheon January 22, 2013.  Billed as “the most widely syndicated newspaper columnist in the world” by Universal Syndicate, the Dear Abby daily advice column feature appears in 1,400 newspapers worldwide, boasting a daily readership of more than 110 million people.

The annual luncheon will take place from 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM at legendary Club Colette in Palm Beach.  Chair Persons for the event include Hayden HosfordJan Malley and Gail Worth with Honorary Chairs Connie M. Frankino and Karen Swanson serving as Advisory Chair.  Herme de Wyman is the Honorary International Chair and Donna Peters is the Grand Raffle Sponsor.

The “Dear Abby” advice column was founded in 1956 by Jeanne’s mother, Pauline “Popo” Phillips. As a teenager, Jeanne first began working with her mother and the now claim-to-fame advice column, providing clerical assistance and sorting the large volume of daily mail. By December 2000, Jeanne began sharing the column feature’s photo byline with her mother, credited as a collaborator.
