The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County announces the 13 nominees from the community for this prestigious 18th Giraffe Awards presented on March 20, 2013. In celebration of Women’s History Month, the following Palm Beach County women have been recognized for “sticking their necks out”, taking risks, applying initiative, dedication and perseverance in making a difference in the workplace and in our community.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Victoria Maizes, Executive Director of the University of Arizona for Integrative Medicine. Chosen as an outstanding speaker for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Dr. Maizes lectures worldwide on women’s health, healthy aging, nutrition and cancer. Her newest book, Be Fruitful: The Essential Guide to Maximizing Fertility and Giving Birth to a Healthy Child has just been released in February 2013.
The Giraffe Awards will be held at the Borland Center for the Performing Arts at Midtown, 4885 PGA Blvd. in Palm Beach Gardens starting with a silent auction and vendor fair reception at 5:30pm and 7pm dinner and ceremony to announce the 18th Giraffe Award winners.
