April, 2014 – Honoring Mirasol Volunteers
On Thursday, April 24 at Mirasol Golf and Country Club the volunteers were honored. The new slate of officers were installed by Carol Lubin. The co-Presidents are Rona Goldstein and Merle
Bassin. NCJW is so blessed to have many volunteers who participate in our community service projects, make our programs successful, and help in the administration of the Section. This event recognizes their efforts, and is the perfect setting for installing the officers who will lead the Section for the coming year. Linda Kaber and Phyllis Millman were honored for all their work in the LIFT (Living in Freedom Today) Program. The Palm Beach Section of the National Council of Jewish Women has established projects that provide personal and apartment essentials for high risk individuals who are transitioning to new phases in their lives. LIFT for battered women helps women who are escaping from domestic violence and LIFT for adolescents provides for adolescents aging out of foster care.
