Kids – and their parents, too – are invited to rev up their engines in advance of this month’s Screen on the Green – Turbo. In the kid’s area, the starting line of the evening will include a make-and-take keepsake, sponsored by Rhythm & Hues. For the referees in attendance (parents), there will be an elaborate display of exotic and muscle cars, sponsored by SuperCar Week. Guests are encouraged to race over early – and not come in last place – for these special activities in advance of the featured film.
7:00 PM Turbo (PG) Movie
Turbo is the story of a snail turning from slow poke to superfast, after a freak accident infuses him with the power of super-speed. Turbo kicks into overdrive and embarks on an extraordinary journey to achieve the seemingly impossible: competing in the world’s fastest race, the Indianapolis 500. With the help of his tricked-out streetwise snail crew, this ultimate underdog puts his heart and shell on the line to prove that no dream is too big, and no dreamer too small.
Outdoor movie watching has never been more inviting than on the West Palm Beach Waterfront. Monthly, on the second Friday of the month, the City of West Palm Beach turns the Great Lawn into an open-air theater – movie and included views of the stars and sea are both FREE. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair and snuggle up for featured films – including newly released hits and throwback favorites.
