Bruce and Jeffrey Webb
Bruce and Jeffrey Webb

From Georgia to Connecticut, young Jeffrey Webb, a 2010 Cum Laude graduate of Johnson & Wales University, North Miami, has found his way to Wellington, Florida.  Jeffrey has been studying Culinary Arts since he was a tot.  Intransigence is often revealed in the behavior of children, and Jeff is no exception as he has disregarded his Father’s counsel and instead followed in his footsteps; “I had for years tried to talk Jeff out of going into this line of business, but like most kids he doesn’t always listen.  He was always interested from the wings,” states Father, Bruce.

Jeffrey had been involved in the ProStart Culinary Program and had maintained an ‘A’ average during that time.  Jeff has also taken one year of nutrition and wellness classes in addition to being the Co-President of his FCCLA Chapter and a member of the Future Farmers of America.  “I selected the Culinary Curriculum because I have always been interested in cooking and the best feeling I have ever felt has been from watching the faces of people as they enjoy the food that I have prepared for them,” says Jeffrey.

His work experience includes Office Depot Corporate Headquarters and Tyco Corporate Headquarters, and he has volunteered hours at Eurest Dining.  Jeffrey satisfied his Culinary Internship at the Johnson & Wales’ Chartwells.  Through his industry experience, he has gained leadership, management, communication and mathematical skills intrinsic in the culinary field.  “He has demonstrated all the skills necessary to succeed in this industry and his attention to detail and commitment to quality will no doubt carry him far.” Shehani Perera, Executive Chef, Chartwells.  “Jeff is a young, dedicated student of our profession and has demonstrated good culinary skills, a mature outlook and work ethic in his desire to advance in the culinary field.” Jeffrey Marshall, District Mgr., Eurest Dining Services.

On Saturday, August 14, 2010, Jeffrey Webb will be highlighted as Executive Chef at the Gift Gathering Reception benefiting the Arthur R. Marshall Foundation, hosted by Mrs. Leslie Garcia-Furey of Wellington.  The event shall be attended by Wellington, Royal Palm Beach, Palm Beach and other Palm Beach County guests.  Jeffrey is sure to razzle-dazzle and satisfy the palates of his guests with hors d’oeuvres that include Petit Steak Au Poivre, Salmon Tartar, Petit Pear and Blue Cheese Tartlet and Glazed Chicken Skewers.  As commented by his Father “He has a really good palate that allows him to blend flavors into something very pleasing and original.”

What is in the future for Mr. Webb?  “I would like to travel the world, learning more about the cuisines and utilize what I have learned in order to improve the dishes that I already prepare.  In five years, I would like to see myself working in a Corporate Food Service setting where I have the ability to work my way up through the ranks by proving my skills.  In ten years I would like to see myself working as a personal chef for someone who has a positive influence on the global community.”

Jeffrey is open to Personal Chef and Catering services.  Interested parties should contact Jeffrey at [email protected].

Let us scrutinize those faces on Saturday, August 14, 2010, shall we!
