planned for Friday, January 14, 2011
The Wellington Travel Basketball Association (WTBA) has announced plans for their 2nd Annual Fundraising Golf Classic at Binks Forest Golf Club in Wellington, Florida. (Voted one of the Top 5 Renovated Golf Courses in the United States for 2008; Golf, Inc Magazine.)
This event will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011. Proceeds from the tournament will help produce funds for the WTBA’s Basketball Program. The WTBA is a non-profit 501 C (3) charitable organization whose Mission Statement is to create an environment for the youth of the Western Communities in which the fundamental skills, strategy, and history of the game of Basketball is taught; enabling the participants to have a successful Middle and High School career. The WTBA is privately funded through reasonable participation fees and the generosity of sponsors in the community. Funds raised by The WTBA Golf Classic will provide the program with the money needed to function during these tough economic times.
The 18 hole tournament begins at 12:00pm with a complimentary lunch, followed by a Putting Contest and a 12:30pm Shot Gun start.
The cost per golfer is $100 and it includes Green Fees, Golf Cart, Boxed Lunch, all on course refreshments and libations, 4 Closest to The Pin Contests, 2 Long Drive Contests, prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, golfer goodie bag, Silent Auction and Raffle, plus a live appearance by the Miami Heat Dancers and the Heat Mascot, Burnie. There will be complimentary beverages provided during the tournament compliments of Pepsi Cola, Moet Hennessy USA, Cheney Brothers, and Coastal Wine and Spirits.
Sign up as a Foursome and receive a free Hole Sponsorship until November 1, 2010. Hole Sponsorships are normally $100 and are a great way to showcase your company.

“Events such as this are only possible through the participation and sponsorship of generous individuals and organizations,” said Chris Fratalia, W.T.B.A. President.
