GULFSTREAM GOODWILL INDUSTRIES BENEFICIARY OF DRIVE TO PROVIDE SHELTER AND SAFETY EVENT

Gulfstream Region Porsche Club of America Hosts Event on January 19, 2023, at The Ben Hotel in WPB

(West Palm Beach, Fla.) —The Gulfstream Region Porsche Club of America is celebrating its upcoming 2nd anniversary by partnering with Gulfstream Goodwill Industries to Drive to Provide Shelter and Safety with a fundraising event and sweepstakes hosted by The Ben Hotel in downtown West Palm Beach. On January 19, 2023, the front lawn of The Ben will welcome dozens of rare and vintage Porsche vehicles from 4 to 7 p.m. as guests enjoy drinks, passed hors d’oevres, and a live auction. As part of fundraising efforts, the corresponding sweepstakes’ grand prize is a brand-new 2023 Porsche Macan, courtesy of headline sponsor Braman Motorcars and Porsche West Palm Beach.

“We were humbled and honored by the Gulfstream Region PCA’s partnership offer,” said Keith Kennedy, CEO of Gulfstream Goodwill Industries. “Their leadership has a genuine interest in spreading awareness and raising money for the homeless shelters and work programs we operate throughout Palm Beach County and in The Glades. As the largest provider of homeless shelters in Palm Beach County, all proceeds from the event will go toward funding temporary shelters, permanent housing, work training, and mental health and substance abuse programs for the homeless in our community.”

The blight of homelessness affects not only individuals, but local businesses. “We strongly believe the programs Gulfstream Goodwill Industries provides to our community are more necessary now than ever,” said Stephen Grossman, General Manager for Braman Motorcars. “We jumped at the chance to not only sponsor this event but provide the grand prize Macan and lend our resources to getting the word out that we must work as a community to eradicate homelessness and help provide our neighbors with a better life.”

Peter Krones, a founder of the Gulfstream PCA Club said: “The Porsche Club is committed to helping those in our community that are less fortunate than us. We are delighted to be able to partner with Gulfstream Goodwill and have the opportunity to both celebrate our second anniversary as a club, but also help to do some good in our community.”

Guests will be entertained by Aaron The Speaker, who will act as MC for the evening as well as host the live auction.

Sponsors include Braman Porsche West Palm Beach, Finemark Bank, Jetta Investment Company, Florida Insurance Trust, Gardens Wealth Management, Gunster Law Firm, Peter Krones, K2Motorcars, Fantastic Finishes, Thompson Coburn Law Firm, Keith and Diane Kennedy, The Jorgensen Foundation, William Liebowitz, OneDigitial, Canvas Designers Inc., Donna Smolens and Clive Stuart-Finley.
