 “Kids in the Kitchen” to be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at

the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium

 

Palm Beach County – On Sat., Apr. 25, 2015, the Junior League of the Palm Beaches will host their annual “Kids in the Kitchen” event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium, 801 Dreher Trail N, West Palm Beach, FL 33405. This event is free for children ages 4-12. For every child who attends, one complimentary adult ticket to the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium will be provided. Additional adult attendees can purchase tickets to the South Florida Science Center and Aquarium at a discount.

Children from all over Palm Beach County will enjoy a fun and interactive day learning healthy habits! Kids will be given a passport upon arrival that they get stamped as they travel to each learning activity where they’ll learn about living a healthy lifestyle through various health and wellness booths. In addition to the souvenir passport, each child will receive a goodie bag.  The event is open to the public and more than 250 children and their families are expected to attend.

“Kids in the Kitchen is a fun and interactive way to educate children about the importance of making healthy choices,” said Ashley Schutz, president of the Junior League of the Palm Beaches. “We are proud to partner with the South Florida Science Center and the community at large to provide a fun environment for families to learn together.”

To register for this free event, parents must e-mail their name and their child’s name and age to [email protected] or go to http://www.jlpb.org/kitk to register online.  Registration will be open through Wednesday, April 15. Please register in advance, as tickets will not be available at the door.
