January 5, 2023 (WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.) – The Armory Art Center is set to open its newest exhibit this month. Matter of Form will open to the public on Wednesday, January 25, 2023.
The exhibit will showcase exemplary jewelry designs by 39 artists from around the globe. The jewelry makes use of traditional and uncommon materials in new and creative ways. The jewelry will be on display at the Armory Art Center East Gallery through Sunday, January 29, 2023.
Matter of Form is organized by the Armory Art Center jewelry & metalsmithing manager, Alicia Jane Boswell, and is curated by AdornAxis, a New York-based partnership between prolific art jewelers Ayala Naphtali and Debra Adelson. Participating artists were selected through a jury process after applying to an open call to artists.
“We look forward to showcasing these uniquely-designed pieces by artists representing 15 countries,” said John Suau, the art center’s CEO. “This is a great way for the community to experience contemporary art jewelry and meet talented artists from around the world.”
The Armory Art Center will host a reception for the exhibition on Thursday, January 26, 2023 (from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.). The reception is free (donations at the door are welcome) and open to the public.
