(West Palm Beach, Fla.) Moore Communications Group (MCG), a full-service marketing and public relations firm headquartered in Tallahassee, is gaining momentum in its South Florida office with the addition of West Palm Beach native Christy Fox. Fox, who has more than 15 years of experience working on local, national and international public relations campaigns, marketing partnerships and events for top global brands, was most recently an executive vice president of the Monuments Men Foundation, where she helped share the story of the men and women who volunteered for service during World War II to rescue artistic and cultural treasures stolen by the Nazis. Under Fox’s leadership, MCG is the new agency of record for the City of West Palm Beach’s events department.
“We are so thrilled to welcome Christy to the team,” said Karen Moore, founder and CEO of MCG. “Her local perspective and years of experience bring incredible value to our growing South Florida presence. Her leadership has already provided big company wins, which we know will only continue to multiply.”
Fox, who grew up in West Palm Beach and still lives downtown, has a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Boston University. While in her role with the Monuments Men Foundation, which became the major motion picture “The Monuments Men” in 2014 when George Clooney bought the rights to the book, Fox specialized in pitching national print, broadcast and online media. She secured coverage in outlets such as Charlie Rose, CBS Sunday Morning, NBC Nightly News, Morning Joe, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post and Reddit “Ask Me Anything.” Prior to her role with the Monuments Men Foundation, Fox worked in the marketing department of CityPlace coordinating and implementing special events and sponsorship initiatives to increase visibility and traffic to the West Palm Beach shopping, dining and entertainment center. She also held a position planning special events for the Norton Museum of Art, and its young professionals group, the Young Friends of the Norton.
“I am excited to be back in South Florida full time,” said Fox. “I have always been passionate about West Palm Beach, so to be charged with growing MCG’s presence in West Palm and South Florida, it is a perfect intersect of my passion and experience.”
In her new role, Fox is responsible for business development and account servicing, including on media relations, advocacy and branding projects.
Fox helped land the firm a contract with the City of West Palm Beach earlier this year as the agency of record for the City of West Palm Beach events department. MCG is responsible for the promotion of the City’s free events on the Waterfront throughout the year, including Clematis by Night, Screen on the Green, Sunday on the Waterfront, GreenMarket, Sandi Land, 4th on Flagler and more.
“As someone who has attended the City’s beloved events, like 4th on Flagler and Clematis by Night for years, I am thrilled to be collaborating on the marketing side,” continued Fox. “I look forward to the events – and MCG – continuing to grow.”
Headquartered in Tallahassee with offices in Denver, West Palm Beach and New Orleans, MCG is one of the largest independently-owned agencies in the Southeast. MCG has been awarded for its commitment to a top-notch work atmosphere by organizations such as the American Psychological Association’s (APA), as Psychologically Healthy Workplace, and Florida Trend, as a Best Place to Work seven years in a row. The company has also been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in the nation by Inc. 5000.
