They perpetuate
inequity,
corruption creeps in steadily
and intrepid integrity
is often tainted chemically.
Witness the government’s conception,
a demand for near perfection
leaves us this world that we are left
with bordered by electric fences.
I see most of us will never achieve
a state of sanctity,
but always have as long as we breathe
a fate of latency,
cuz even if we wanna be seen
we gotta date to beat
and a “virtue” bringing us
to our knees is waiting
patiently.
