Casey Cares Foundation Announces Jennifer McCorvey as Southern Region Development Director

South Florida – Casey Cares, an organization dedicated to supporting families with critically ill children, is expanding its reach in Florida and is proud to announce the addition of Jennifer McCorvey to the team. Known as a dedicated nonprofit professional, McCorvey of Coral Springs, will serve as Development Director of the Southern Region for the organization. She brings over twelve years of experience across many platforms with strong skills in non-profit special events, major gifts, and national cause marketing campaigns.

A proven performer, McCorvey has raised over $20 million for charities across Florida and is a confident speaker and leader. “I’m constantly looking for ways to grow awareness, increase community support, and exceed financial benchmarks,” said McCorvey, who is incredibly excited about the opportunity.

Previously the development director for the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation where she also worked as the Take Steps Florida Walk Director, McCorvey is well suited for her newest role. She has been responsible for coordinating the Humane Society of Broward County’s Walk for the Animals from 2010-2013 and the Breast Cancer Network of Strength’s Walk to Empower in 2009-2010 as part of her four years spent working with the organization from 2007-2011 in both Chicago and South Florida.

McCorvey attended Winona State University and is a 2004 graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale where she earned a bachelor’s in advertising with a minor in creative writing.

For families whose faith, relationships, and bank accounts have been stretched to their breaking points, the palliative programs provided by Casey Cares Foundation may be the only reprieve many will have from hospital stays and doctors’ visits. For some, it will be one of the last events they will attend with all members of their family present. “While we cannot cure these children, we can create little moments and lasting memories,” says McCorvey.

McCorvey hopes supporters will join Casey Cares at the beautiful on Leap Day, February 29, 2020 at 6:30 p.m for an inspiring, fun “Evening with Casey Cares.” The event will include hundreds of local supporters, board members, business leaders, and media representatives that have made the palliative programs possible. Guests will enjoy live music, a cocktail hour and silent auction, a seated dinner with a short program, and an open premium bar. Two Wellington volunteers, Jen Sherry and Kristina Bostwick, will be this year’s honorees.

About Casey Cares Foundation

Casey Cares knows how difficult life can be for families with critically ill children. We focus on the entire family, not simply the sick child. We help keep families’ spirits high by arranging bi-monthly programming – whether it’s a movie night and a fresh pair of pajamas or the chance to attend a major sporting event. Founded 20 years ago, Casey Cares makes life better for families in eight states including Florida and D.C. Rather than once-a-lifetime or once-a-year, we believe the best palliative care comes from continuous, ongoing support. Learn more at caseycares.org. Casey Cares Headquarters is at 3918 Vero Rd, Suite C, Baltimore, MD 21227.
