Hospice of Palm Beach County Honored with Black Chamber of Commerce Ascension Award

 

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Hospice of Palm Beach County , a non-profit organization, recently received the Black Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County ’s 2011 Ascension Award. Recognized for their work in caring for patients and families of all races, religions, and socio-economic statuses, Hospice of Palm Beach County was proud to accept this honor at the annual Ascension Awards Luncheon held Wednesday, November 30.

 

“We are incredibly proud to receive this award,” said Dave Fielding, president and CEO of Hospice of Palm Beach County. “For more than 30 years, our organization has cared for countless families at a time of great need, never turning a single patient away who was in need of hospice care.  To be recognized for this care is a great honor.”

 

In addition to traditional care, Hospice of Palm Beach County offers patients music and integrative therapies, which include aromatherapy, massage and reiki, which are proven to reduce stress, anxiety and other symptoms. Families also have access to a full array of bereavement support including individual and group support for children and adults.

 

Created in 2009, the Ascension Awards Program recognizes non-profit organizations, companies, business leaders and individuals who have ascended to greatness in their respective fields.
