Events are held at 2635 State Road 7, in the Lifestyle Center and are free of charge unless otherwise noted. Pre-Register for events @ at the customer service desk or by phone (561-904-4000) for Free Classes Only. Refunds, credits, or transfer of classes will not be honored for no-shows or cancellations made fewer than 24 hours before event. All events are subject to change. Classes with low registration may be cancelled.  Any classes cancelled by Whole Foods Market will be refunded. Space is limited.

Support your health and wellbeing one forkful at a time!  Join our Healthy Eating Specialist, Amanda, as she leads a 4 class series guiding you through the, The Engine 2 Diet, created by Rip Esselstyn.  Each class, guests will taste Engine 2 recipes, learn healthy cooking techniques, and most importantly teach you the skills to reconfigure your plate and your diet.

Sweet Victory Cookie Decorating Competition

Saturday, February 9th On the Patio (café if it’s raining)

10:00 AM Team Member Competition & 11:00 AM Customer Competition

If you have a sweet tooth and know how to use it, then this competition is for you!  We are looking for 6 sugar lovin’ customers to compete in our second annual cookie decorating competition.  Sign up at the customer service desk to reserve your spot.  Each customer will have 15 minutes to perfect their sweet treat.  All decorations (including the cookie) will be provided.   First place winner will receive a $50 Whole Foods Market gift card and all participants will receive an extra sweet gift just for playing. Come and help us judge both competitions- pick up your ballets at the cookie decorating station on the patio.

 

Engine 2 Block Party

Tuesday, February 12th 5:30- 7:00 PM, Free

Calling all 28 Day Challengers and anyone that wants to taste a selection of Rip Esselstyn’s recipes featured in The Engine 2 Diet.  Each team around the store will create a recipe from the book that features plant-strong and nutrient dense cuisine!  Voting ballots will be given out in the produce department for you to vote for your favorite sample.  The winning team will get to display the trophy in their department for all to see.  No registration necessary, just come on by. 

 

Sushi 101 for Kids

Tuesday, February 12th 6:30-7:30 PM ages 6-14 years old, $5/Child

Back by popular demand and in honor of Vincent’s letter we will be having a special edition Kid’s Sushi Making Class!  Join our very own in-house sushi company, Genji for a hands-on sushi class.  Bamboo rolling mats, chef hats and sushi 101 handbooks will be provided.  Class will be held in the lifestyle center.  Space is limited.

 

Local Artist Celebration: Maria Lentine

Meet our current Wellington Art Society local artist, Maria Lentine, and join us as we celebrate her beautiful paintings that are inspired by colorful floral design.  Participants will enjoy live music, wine and cheese tasting and small bites from our Catering Menu.  One hundred percent of the event entrance fees will benefit the Wellington Art Society Scholarship Fund. Cash donations will also be accepted at the entrance.

Join Chef Joe in our Lifestyle Center as he demonstrates how to cook gluten free foods that are sure to drive your taste buds wild.  You’ll be tasting: Paradise Found Smoothie, Walnut Spread on Cucumber Slices, Gluten-Free Tuna Noodle Casserole with Almonds, and Chocolate Swirl Meringue Cookies.  NOTE:  Recipes are based on availability of ingredients and may change.  Also, all ingredients used are gluten-free; however, our facility is not certified gluten free.

 

Equestrian Science Institute and Wellington Equestrians Present: “Whole Horse, Whole Rider” – a series of talks and discussion on the body, mind and spirit of horses, people & equestrian sports. Facilitated by Mary Ann Simonds, MA (www.maryannsimonds.com) with panel discussions from various equine industry professionals addressing various aspects of our relationships with horses from training and caring for them to riding and keeping them physically and mentally healthy.

Saxon Creamery Block Party: Hosted by Cheese maker, Jerry Heimerl

Swank Table: Farm Style Events

February 10th, March 17th, and April 7th

Swank Farms (part of our Community Supported Agriculture Drop Program) will host five al fresco luncheons on the farm with local and nationally known chefs who will create feasts using fresh picked produce from the farm and ingredients from a Whole Foods Market pantry right before your eyes.
