Visitors are invited to cool off and join the fun at Florida Power & Light Company’s Cooling Station this Sept. 9-10 at the Museum Plaza of the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park. It’s the perfect location to cool down during some of the city’s hottest events including: Free Second Saturdays at the Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM), DWNTWN Art Days and the Arsht Center’s ArtsLaunch.

Guests will take a moment to “chill” out by walking into a larger-than-life ice cube that refreshes with music and a cold blast of CO2, along with a video souvenir of their experience. The Cooling Station is the perfect way to recharge during an exciting weekend of local events. It showcases how customers can beat the heat this summer with FPL’s energy-saving tips and tools – including the new mobile app and the Online Home Energy Survey – and turn themselves into energy experts by taking control of their usage and bill.

Guests can also participate in “Take Flight with Kites” with Frost Science, presented by the Miami Downtown Development Authority, as they learn about the history of kites and how they fly, plus make and decorate their own kites.

This event is free and open to the public.
