Building Our Future…For the Love of Animals
Jupiter, FL – Furry Friends Adoption Clinic and Ranch is proud and excited to announce the ribbon cutting and groundbreaking for their new almost 15,000 square foot facility in Jupiter Industrial Park. The building, located at the corner of Industrial Way and Capital Road in Jupiter Industrial Park, will be the home to the adoption center and the state-of-the-art clinic.
The Ribbon Cutting will be performed by the North County Chamber of Commerce on December 1, 2016, at 12:00pm. Several Jupiter dignitaries, community leaders, and beloved donors will be attending as well as chamber ambassadors The public is welcome. Light refreshments will be served.
Chief veterinarian Dr. Todd Vinoski said, “We are very excited to see the plans for the new spacious and cutting edge clinic. The new building will afford us the opportunity to be more efficient so we are even better equipped to serve the community.”
The ribbon cutting and groundbreaking will kick-off a capital campaign to raise approximately 2.5 million dollars. There have already been several generous donations pledged but much more is needed. There are numerous ways to donate and no donation is too small. There will be many naming opportunities available in the new building, for all levels of commitment. A substantial part of our operating expenses relies on raising funds through our various events, solicitations, and our thrift shop. While the clinic is a source of income, it doesn’t come close to being able to sustain all of our rescue and life-saving efforts. Without the support of our donors, we would not be able to rescue as many of the animals in dire need of help in our community.
Currently, Furry Friends is headquartered in Maplewood Plaza in Jupiter Florida and expands beyond Jupiter’s borders with a 27-acre ranch located in Palm City.
At any given time, the Maplewood location has about 75 dogs and 60 cats. The new building will provide greater opportunities to house and treat the many pets in need of housing and care with four exam rooms, a laser treatment room and many other much-needed upgrades to the current clinic.
Additionally, Furry Friends veterinary clinic provides affordable animal healthcare to resident animals and to the public. Services include annual wellness checks, in-house bloodwork, X-rays, dental cleaning, spay/neuter surgery, and more. The clinic also offers an online pharmacy for all of your pet’s needs
Furry Friends serves both the local Jupiter community besides being a refuge for dogs and cats from the islands and Miami all the way to North Florida and beyond. Included in the building will be a birthing suite for mothers and puppies. Furry Friends has birthed and found homes for hundreds of puppies and looks forward to being able to continue and expand this service.
Furry Friends also operates a 27-acre ranch in Palm City that is home to approximately 30 dogs, 70 cats, and 4 horses, most of which are available for adoption, making Furry Friends the largest no-kill shelter in the North Palm Beach County and martin County.
Humane Society of Greater Jupiter Tequesta Inc. dba Furry Friends Adoption, Clinic & Ranch has been rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming homeless animals in our community for more than 30 years.
