Wellington Garden Club (WGC) will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Wellington Community Center, at 12150 W. Forest Hill Blvd. The meeting will feature a presentation at 10:00 AM on eco-friendly solutions for pest control in our gardens by Lance Osborne, Professor of Entomology at the University of Florida, is a dedicated and passionate advocate for the insect world.
With a Ph.D. in Entomology, Osborne’s expertise lies in integrated pest management and sustainable agricultural practices. His love for insects began during his childhood explorations in Florida’s countryside. Now, as a brilliant educator and researcher, he inspires students to appreciate the intricate role insects play in ecosystems. His groundbreaking work in biological control and insect-plant interactions has earned him recognition within the scientific community. His commitment to promoting eco-friendly solutions solidifies his place as a respected figure in entomology.
