Impact 100 Palm Beach County Announces 10 Nonprofit Finalists Competing for $100,000 Grants

IMPACT 100 PALM BEACH COUNTY ANNOUNCES 10 FINALISTS COMPETING FOR $100,000 GRANTS

Members will vote on nonprofit finalists serving southern Palm Beach County to win high-impact grants

(Boca Raton, FL.) – At a time when nonprofit organizations need funding more than ever, Impact 100 Palm Beach County announced 10 nonprofit finalists that are one step closer to receiving one of five $100,000 high-impact grants. Designed to help fund transformational community programs, the grants are awarded to nonprofits in southern Palm Beach County – between Boca Raton and Lake Worth. Impact 100 Palm Beach County will announce the five $100,000 winners on May 28, 2020.

 

“Each of the finalist programs have the potential to positively change different aspects of our community in an impactful way,” said Kathy Adkins, President of Impact 100 Palm Beach County. “During this time of great uncertainty, it’s gratifying to know these grants will help improve and strengthen our community. Although we wish the Grand Awards Celebration could be done in person, we are looking forward to announcing the nonprofit winners on May 28 on our website and social media platforms.”

 

Impact 100 Palm Beach County is a women’s 501c3 nonprofit organization funding local nonprofit initiatives. It is comprised of a growing number of more than 500 women who donate $1,000 annually. The Impact 100 Palm Beach County funds are pooled and members vote to award grants to nonprofits serving southern Palm Beach County in five focus areas: Arts, Culture and Historic Preservation; Education; Environment and Animal Welfare; Family; and Health and Wellness. Since its inception, Impact 100 Palm Beach County has awarded more than $3.3 million in grants.

 

The 10 nonprofit finalists and their project titles are as follows:

Impact 100 PBC has strict guidelines in place that nonprofits must complete to be eligible to compete for funding. During this grant cycle, 110 grant applications were received and through an online and in-person process, grant reviewers read and thoughtfully reviewed, scored and ranked the initial grant applications from the interested nonprofits. Grant reviewers meet to discuss which nonprofits will advance to full grant application and a site visit.
