Wellington Meets with Local Religious Groups to Help Community

Wellington, Fla. – On July 2, 2014 Wellington’s Community Services Department met with leaders of our local faith based organizations.  Wellington’s Interfaith group meets monthly to address community issues & concerns, coordinate neighborhood programming and provide resident assistance if/where needed.

The focus of the meeting was to finalize the plans for the Summertime Fun Camp, a free camp offered to Wellington youth ages 5 to 16 from July 28 to August 1, 2014 in the multi-purpose fields behind Tiger Shark Cove Park. The camp will run from 10am to 1pm each day with youth participating in flag football, kickball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, and various arts & crafts. Lunch will be provided by Interfaith and the Wellington Preservation Coalition to each youth in attendance.
