PALMS WEST COMMUNITY FOUNDATION’S

WOMEN IN BUSINESS SERIES

PRESENTS

“LUNCH WITH LOIS FRANKEL”

The Palms West Community Foundation is pleased to announce its next event for the Women in Business series.  The Foundation is presenting a luncheon, beginning at 12:15p.m., at Binks Forest Golf Club on Thursday, June 24, 2010.  West Palm Beach’s own, Mayor Lois Frankel, will be the featured speaker at the luncheon.  Frankel will be sharing some of her insights and experiences as a woman involved in the political and business community.

Frankel began her public career as an attorney, and in 1986 she was elected to the State of Florida House of Representatives.  She served in the House for fourteen years, and during that time, she rose to the position of Minority Leader–the first Democratic woman in Florida history to achieve such an honor.  In 2003, Frankel was elected as Mayor of West Palm Beach.  Frankel is very active in the community, and has earned a reputation as a champion of women, children and seniors.  During her time as Mayor, she has made quality of life a priority for the City of West Palm Beach.  Frankel will be sharing her experience and insights with the luncheon attendees…sprinkled with a few humorous stories.

The cost for the luncheon is $25.00 for Palms West Chamber members, and $30.00 for non-chamber members.  For reservations, please go to www.palmswest.com, and click on the Women in Business icon on the right-hand side.  Or, you can call Scott Brown at the Palms West Chamber office—(561)790-6200.
