YWCA Honors Donors
The YWCA of Palm Beach County honored its major donors and volunteers at a luncheon held on June 11, 2013 at Bear Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach. The YWCA is celebrating its 96th year of service to Palm Beach County.
The honorees included the Academy for Nursing and Health Occupations, Lost Tree Village Charitable Foundation, Palm Beach Community Trust Fund, PNC Bank-Florida, Royal Poinciana Chapel, Saks Fifth Avenue – Palm Beach, and Town of Palm Beach United Way.
These donors have generously supported the programs of the YWCA that include Harmony House, a secure shelter for abused women and their children; two Child Development Centers; transitional housing for women; Y-Girls, a leadership, education and mentoring program for girls aged 9-13; Y-SAV, students against violence; and a racial justice initiative. Honored for her volunteer commitment was Marjorie Butcher.
The YWCA’s Grace Hoadley Dodge award was presented to Irma Anapol.
