Ehrenreich, who can sing, dance, deliver a joke, tell a story, and play a variety of instruments well (He played Ringo Starr in the Broadway version of Beatlemania!) has been asked to create a razzle-dazzle song-and-dance act for Las Vegas. He plans to preview his Vegas show when he closes out the Ross JCC Center Stage series at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Park Vista Theatre at Park Vista High School, 7900 Jog Road, Boynton Beach.

“There will be more rocking and less Yiddish, and it will not be as personally and emotionally deep as in A Jew Grows in Brooklyn,” Ehrenreich says. “But it will have the elements of an uplifting show through true stories, lots of humor, and music, and you’ll leave feeling good!”

Ehrenreich has had a whirlwind year, also adding author to his resume. His memoir, “A Jew Grows in Brooklyn: The Curious Reflections of a First Generation American, is set for publication in April by Deerfield-based Health Communications, Inc. (HCI), the company that gave us the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.  Ehrenreich is also wrapping up a pair of TV projects, one of which includes Rachel Lee of local Fox 29 (WFLX) affiliate as his sidekick.

Tickets for Ehrenreich’s CenterStage shows are $30 and $35 for JCC members, and $37 and $42 for non-members. Group rates are available. Call the JCC box office at 561-736-4751 or 561-740-9000 Ext 201.
