West Palm Beach, FL, March 8, 2012 – The Palm Beach Zoo has announced the following special events for March, April, and May of 2012.

 

Breakfast with the Bunny

Saturday, March 24 at 9 a.m.

Sunday, March 25 at 9 a.m.

Saturday, March 31 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Sunday, April 1 at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Saturday, April 7 at 9 am and 11 a.m.

 

Hop into the zoo and join us for egg-citing Egg Hunts, an egg-cellent hot breakfast buffet at the Tropics Café, and egg-xtra special guests – the Easter Bunny and some of his animal friends!  Register early, space is limited!  For additional information or to register, please visit us online at www.palmbeachzoo.org.

 

 

Earth Day: Party for the Planet

Friday – Sunday, April 20 – 22 / 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

“Go Green” at the Palm Beach Zoo and celebrate Earth Day with your furry, feathered, and scaly friends!  The Palm Beach Zoo is partnering with other AZA-accredited zoos throughout the country to host the largest Earth Day celebration to help visitors discover ways to connect to the environment and to spark a major effort to address the conservation crisis. Free with zoo admission.

Malayan Tiger Cubs’ 1st Birthday Celebration

Saturday & Sunday, May 12 & 13 / 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.tigers-2-budge-jamison

Help us celebrate the first birthday of the zoo’s Malayan tiger cub trio!  Children’s games, tiger-themed crafts, live music, face painting, roving animal encounters, and much more are planned for the cubs’ wild birthday bash!  Please visit us online at www.palmbeachzoo.org for more details. Bear Awareness Days

Saturday & Sunday, May 19 & 20 / 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Discover the “bear necessities” on how to support bear conservation.  Check out amazing bear bio-facts, learn about bear behavior through an exciting keeper talk/enrichment session, create your very own bear-themed masterpiece, play “Do Bears Eat Better Than I Do?” and see how you “measure up” to “Lewis & Clark,” our black bear brothers. Free with zoo admission.
