Event Committee hard at work planning
“An Evening of Great Expectations 2015”
On Wednesday, February 11, 2015, Committee Members assembled at St. David’s in-the-Pines Episcopal Church to continue planning the 3rd Annual “An Evening of Great Expectations”, which will be held on Friday, March 13th at International Polo Club, Mallet Grille & Patio.
The evening – which is Key West Casual – will start at 6:00 pm with a silent auction, informal modeling by Alease Fisher Designs of Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, and a cocktail reception. During dinner there will be a live auction and after dinner dancing to the music of Parisi Events until 11:00 pm.
The event is being chaired by Mr. & Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone. The Host Committee includes Dr. & Mrs. James Belden, Laura Kraut, and Jennifer & Roger Smith. Event Committee includes Christina Anzures, Brianne Ford of Unbridled Wedding & Events, Courtney Phibbs Boyd, Sally Chester RN, Karlene Kiminyo, Michele Poole, Lou Ann Wilson Swan, Rev. Steven Thomas, Damon Webb, and Karen Vaughan.
Proceeds of the event will benefit Grandma’s Place, an emergency shelter that provides a safe haven and loving care to 16 children – from birth to the age of 12 – who have suffered abuse and/or neglect and have been removed from their own homes by the Department of Children & Families and St. David’s in the Pines’ vital ministries, which provides meals to the community via their soup kitchen, organizes blood drives, and school supply drives for those in need in our community.
