Our May Music for the Mind concert will feature the Faith’s Place Center for Education.
Faith’s Place Center for Arts Education, Inc. is an after school arts enrichment program that caters to students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. The program opened its doors in 2012 with only 12 students and now has 120 students. It is located in Pleasant City (West Palm Beach, Florida). The art areas that are taught at the Center include piano, strings, brass and woodwind instruments, dance, choir, steel drums and drumline taught by certified teachers and Artists in Residence.
Faith’s Place provides rich exposure to the arts for students which allows them to experience different cultures through music. With a motto of “Preparing Young Minds for the Future” these students are sure to grab any listener’s attention with its ecletic approach to express music in a variety of ways with smooth calypso sounds and rhythmic patterns that’ll have the audience clapping their hands and tapping their feet!

Since its inception in 2002, the Music for the Mind concert series has given almost 11,000 young musicians the opportunity to perform and has raised over $550,000 to help keep music in our community.
