New Superintendant to speak at monthly Chamber Luncheon
The Central Palm Beach County Chamber will hold their annual Scholarship Luncheon this Monday.
The Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce will hold the annual Scholarship Luncheon, this Monday, April 16 at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural, on Civic Way in Royal Palm Beach. The Luncheon is sponsored by Palm Beach Atlantic University and the food will be provided by classically trained chef, Dave Rashty of Stocked & Loaded. The keynote speaker will be new Palm Beach County Superintendent of Schools,Wayne Gent.
The Scholarship Luncheon through the efforts of the Palmswest Community Foundation and the Central Palm Beach County Chamber Education Committee, will be awarding $9000 in scholarships to senior in high school from the Glades to the Lake Worth . All the students had to apply , write an essay and be interviewed by the committee until the nine lucky winners were selected. This year for the first time. We have added an Educator of the Year award for $500 provided by the Foley Foundation
