Palm  Beach Photographic Centre Hosts Reception Honoring First Artist-in-Residence Kadir López from Cuba

 

Kadir Lopez(West Palm Beach,  FL – October 29, 2013) Fatima NeJame, president and chief executive officer of the world-renowned Palm Beach Photographic Centre (PBPC), welcomed around 100 art and photography collectors from around South Florida at a private reception honoring Kadir López.

 Also on hand on October 8 were West Palm Beach Mayor Jeri Muoio, assorted local artists and PBPC board of directors members Ray Buza, Sandie Foland, Joan Goldberg, Tommy Morrison, Bill Pannill and Dack Patriarca. Mr. Morrison also chaired the reception celebrating the Photo Centre’s first official artist-in-residence and the creative photographer behind its current exhibition: THE CONFLUX OF ETERNITIES: Historical Discourse in the work of Kadir López.

 The Kadir López exhibition is running through early next month. It will be followed by ALBUM 2013: Memories from Friends of the Palm Beach Photographic Centre, opening on November 26, and featuring an incredible array of pictures taken by local photographers Barron Collier, Bruce Gendelman, Avram Glazer, Tommy Morrison, John Rinker and more.
