Binks Forest Literacy Night

In a continued effort to enrich, enhance and promote reading to the students, Binks Forest Elementary sponsored a “Literacy Night” on October 29th. This is just one of the many events held during the school year to encourage involvement in education and in the community. During the event students were able to swap books, socialize and play games while enjoying Chic-Fil-A in the cafeteria. They were then treated to Celebrity Storytelling which included Village of Wellington Mayor Darell Bowen as well as several teachers from the school. The evening ended with a Vocabulary Parade where students strutted outside in costumes portraying assigned words such as Miss Place, Sir Plus and Butter Fly. Photos by Lois Spatz.
