On Sept. 27th, family and friends celebrated the 5th birthday of Joey of Joey’s Outback in Wellington. The birthday party, open to the public, included face painting and a magic show. Photo by Carol Porter.On Saturday, Sept. 22, actress Blythe Danner visited OFA-Florida volunteers at a senior-to-senior phone bank to thank them for their hard work and dedication to President Obama’s re-election campaign and share her personal reasons for supporting President Obama this November. Local senior volunteers made calls to fellow seniors to talk about the clear difference between the Obama-Biden and Romney-Ryan plans for Medicare and the potential impact this election could have on Florida seniors. Danner spoke to seniors and made phone calls while she was visiting the OFA office. Danner is the mother of actress Gwyneth Paltrow and appeared opposite Robert De Niro in the 2000 comedy hit Meet the Parents and its sequels Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers. From 2001 to 2006, she regularly appeared on the TV show Will & Grace as Will Truman's mother Marilyn.A fundraiser was held for Tami Donnally, a candidate for Florida House District 86, on September 19, at Binks Forest Golf Course and Country Club.
