THE COURAGE TO REMEMBER: THE HOLOCAUST 1933 – 1945
The Historical Society of Palm Beach County announces a limited-time special exhibition at The Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum October 30 – November 29.
West Palm Beach, FL | October 10, 2014 – The Historical Society of Palm Beach County is honored to present The Courage to Remember: The Holocaust 1933-1945 traveling exhibition in the Historic Courtroom of the 1916 Courthouse from October 30 – November 29, 2014. This limited-time special exhibition, produced by the Museum of Tolerance, the educational arm of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, features 200 exclusive photographs that cannot be seen anywhere else in the world, offering unique insight into the Holocaust. The exhibit includes four distinct sections: Nazi Germany; Moving Toward the “Final Solution;” Annihilation in Nazi-occupied Europe; and Liberation, Building New Lives.
For more than 20 years, The Courage to Remember has enjoyed national and international acclaim, travelling to sites throughout the United States and 20 countries. Join the more than four million visitors who have seen this exhibit, a statistic that makes this the most widely attended travelling exhibition on Holocaust education and remembrance in existence. As Simon Wiesenthal said, “Hope lives when people remember.”
Due to the graphic nature of this exhibit, it is not suitable for children under the age of 12.
Museum admission is free.
