ASTROLOGY AT WORK IN YOUR LIFE

May, 2010Karola Crawford

By Karola Crawford

Happy Birthday to all Taureans, who are probably out there in their yards right now making major improvements. You are an earth sign and you efficiently achieve mastery over physical matter. “Practical” is your middle name and you are usually quite patient, and sometimes downright stubborn.  You are quite fond of the good things of life and love a beautiful home with all the trimmings, but you are also willing and capable to put in the hard work to achieve the end result. Love of comfort, satisfaction and pleasure is a characteristic of people born under the sign of Taurus. Whatever it takes to fulfill these needs is important to you and you will make an effort to possess it. No earthly force can persuade you to attach your interests elsewhere once you have achieved the above. You will see that nothing interferes with what you want. Money gives you the things that allow you to have the creature comforts that you want, so you want it for the sake of its purchase power. You have a high appreciation of form and beautiful things, especially those that appeal to the sense of touch. Good clothing is favored by you and you are genuinely impressed by others’ appearances.

Security is your hub, both on an emotional and material sense.  You tend to withhold yourself from involvement until you have determined whether a person, situation or relationship will be of use to you. Your strong sense of loyalty can cause you to burden yourself with the grief and problems of your friends. You can become quite jealous and are quite possessive in maintaining both emotional and mental ties for security. Self-analysis is not important to you.  You are endowed with a strong willpower, which enables you to make plans years in advance and strive towards your goal, quite firm in your acquisitive instincts.  Success is usually the payoff for this effort. Since you have your own way of doing things, and if someone wants a smooth relationship with you, it is wise not to interfere with, or attempt to make you over.

Spend this birthday in communication with your closest friends and family.  A short, local trip would go over well at this time.

Gemini – Relationships take a front seat this month and you can rest assured that any effort on your part will be highly appreciated by your closest family members.

Cancer – Only you can make the holidays so family oriented and others count on it  Spare no effort this Mother’s Day to make everyone feel comfortable and at home.

Leo – This is a good month for overindulgence.  Watch your weight and add extra exercise to balance out the cravings.

Virgo – If some of your past actions were not what you really wanted, then you will have the opportunity to make positive changes midmonth.  Take credit for changes.

Libra – This is a good month to get your feelings out by talking them over with those closest to you.  Come from the heart and express yourself clearly.

Scorpio – Dig deep and listen to feedback to get to the bottom of issues.  You already know the truth, but may not want to take responsibility for it.

Sagittarius – It is time for deep, spiritual growth as material things are fading out of your life.  Just remember that all new growth starts where the old has withered away.

Capricorn – Your capable hands may need to make some minor adjustments as you forge ahead.  Detours are apparent, but they may only require minor adjustments.

Aquarius – Time to question yourself on a deeper level as any attempt to push forward will be redirected within.  Meditate by the water if you can.

Pisces – You have been so versatile that others may count on you for your deep wisdom.  Life has not become routine in a while now.

Aries – Yes, take credit for your actions and wallow in the applause.  You have managed to make your mark and you deserve it.

0

For Immediate Release:

Design comes to your office.

Palm Beach Contract Furniture now offers an interior design service to compliment its large line of office furnishings including desks, chairs, conference suites and other professional office furnishings.

Palm Beach Contract Furniture, a local office furnishings supply firm, has always offered superior service. While smaller than many national companies, it is still able to offer the same or lower prices than its competitors but at the same time can give personalized one on one service.  Al Paglia, president said “I’m a much smaller company. Instead of a national client base I specialize in all of South Florida, and that means each client is so much more important to me… I make sure they are completely satisfied” He went on to say “Now that I have an interior designer on my team, I am truly set apart from other companies in this field.

Recent clients such as the Breakers Resort and Country Club would have to agree. One of their latest clients Palm Beach Urology Associates was able to have designer Beth Keller consult with the owners to make sure the colors of the new chairs and furnishings matched with the current design of their office. The result is an office that seamlessly flows with form, function and proper design.

Ms. Keller said “The average worker spends over eight hours a day in an office environment and with proper design and workspace flow his or her time can become much more productive.” Beth Keller is the new designer for Palm Beach Contract Furniture and brings over 30 years of experience in design specializing in office and other professional environments. She is a welcome addition to PBCF and will move the company to the next level in service and design.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
______________________________________________________________________

The YWCA of Palm Beach County is seeking nominations for its Grace Hoadley Dodge Award presented annually to a woman residing in Palm Beach County who has overcome adversity and, in the process of doing so, has not only empowered herself but has also created opportunities for and led other women toward their own empowerment. Through her own growth she has inspired others to embrace challenges, to recognize that courage is nothing more than triumph over fear, and to believe that strength is born of hope and faith. These accomplishments have been achieved with dignity and a commitment to peace, justice and freedom.

Grace Hoadley Dodge began her career as a social worker and philanthropist, initiated tenement reform in 1879, was instrumental in the development of the Teachers’s College which became part of Columbia University in 1889, held one of the first seats for women on New York City’s Board of Education, helped establish the Girls’ Public School Athletic League and served as the first President of the YWCA of the USA.

The award will be presented in June at the YWCA’s annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

The deadline for nominations is 4 p.m. on Friday, May 14, 2010.

For more information or to request a Nomination Form, please contact the YWCA at 561-640-0050.
