Obituary for Bob Markey Sr., founder of The Town-Crier and a Palms West leader
A Message from Bob Markey II about his Father’s Passing
Hi Again,
You might have already heard, but considering Dad’s reach and long list of friends, personal and professional acquaintances, I wanted to be sure to inform you personally that Bob Markey Sr. passed away on Saturday at age 80. He was a great and wonderful man, father and family leader and we can’t replace him. We are much more sad and emotional than I thought I we’d be, considering his long illness. We miss him terribly.
Funeral arrangements are being made through Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach. A visitation is set from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 (memorial at 5:30pm), funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at St. Therese Catholic Church on Lake Worth Road in Wellington and veteran’s burial immediately afterward at the South Florida Veterans Administration Cemetery on State Road 7 south of Wellington. The Markey family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County.

Here is a newspaper article:
Please pass word of Dad’s passing to anyone I might have missed, and that would be many people.
Please remember Bob Sr. and Pat (we lost her in 2008) in your prayers.
Thanks and regards,
