Quantum Foundation receives the Key to the City

WEST PALM BEACH, Florida– At Monday’s City of West Palm Beach Commission meeting, Mayor Jeri Muoio awarded Quantum Foundation the Key to the City, in recognition of the foundation’s 17-year commitment to improving the county’s health.

Quantum Foundation was founded in 1997 as a private grantmaking organization based in West Palm Beach with a vision for the people of Palm Beach County to enjoy a better life through quality health. In the 17 years since its founding, Quantum Foundation has given away more than $115 million in grants in pursuit of better health for all who call Palm Beach County home.

“Quantum Foundation has worked with well over 100 community partners and nonprofits in pursuit of our mission,” said Eric Kelly, Quantum president. “By making strategic grants, sponsoring workshops, hosting meetings and convening stakeholders, we have focused efforts to address health issues and meet health-related challenges in Palm Beach County. It is our honor to be recognized for this important mission.”

In addition, the foundation has invested over $5 million in an LEED Silver-certified building located at 2701 North Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, bringing regeneration to the City’s neighborhood and creating a venue from which to work with other organizations in the area for the benefit of the community.

The Key and proclamation were accepted by Quantum Foundation President, Eric M. Kelly and the Chair of Quantum Foundation’s Board of Trustees, William A. Meyer. Also in attendance were Quantum Foundation Board Members Mr. Stephen Moore, Mr. Michael Dixon and Mrs. Donna Mulholland.

Quantum Foundation is a private grantmaking organization that funds approved charities and certain government agencies serving Palm Beach County, Florida. Quantum Foundation’s mission is to inspire and fund bold initiatives that improve health care in Palm Beach County. The foundation’s funding supports those organizations which provide health care, help people who need health care, and educate others about health care.

According to the latest data compiled by the Florida Philanthropic Network (FPN), Quantum Foundation is the largest Palm Beach County-based health funder with 100% of grant dollars used to support local communities.
