SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER MARCIA ANDREWS ENDORSES

MICHELLE SANTAMARIA FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONER

Today, District 6 School Board Member Marcia Andrews endorsed Michelle Santamaria for the County Commission District 6 seat.

The seat is currently held by Santamaria’s father, County Commissioner Jess Santamaria, who is retiring due to term limits.

“I have known and worked with Commissioner Jess Santamaria for many years on education and other issues important to our community.  I am excited to endorse his daughter, Michelle Santamaria, to be our next County Commissioner.

As someone who was raised in our district, a small business owner, attorney and former assistant state attorney, Michelle Santamaria will not only bring her own unique qualifications and experience to the office, but will follow in her father’s footsteps and continue to be a champion for honest government and against public corruption,” said Andrews.

The boundaries of the School Board District 6 seat are nearly identical to the boundaries of the County Commission District 6 seat.

“I am honored to have Marcia Andrews’ support and endorsement.  Marcia has been an outstanding public servant and has done so much to improve the quality of public education.  I look forward to her guidance and to working with her in the future on education and other issues important to our children,” said Santamaria.
