Special Ceremony for Sergeant Select Jonathon McLean

August 1, 2019, was a special day for local Marine and Recruiter Gunnery Sergeant Select Jonathan McLean. The Village of Wellington Veterans Memorial served as the perfect backdrop as McLean was promotional and pinned during a special ceremony attended by nine fellow Marines and local members of the American Legion. Sergeant Major Dober of the Sixth Marine Corps District RS Fort Lauderdale Headquarter’s led McLean’s promotion warrant ceremony followed by the removal of his Staff Sargeant chevrons by Gunnery Sergeant Cameron, RSS Lake Worth’s station commander. McLean’s wife Haley then pinned the new rank chevrons and Captain Perrine presented the promotion warrant to Gunnery Sergeant McLean with a handshake and a salute. After the ceremony the Marines shared their appreciate for Gunnery Sergeant McLean and thanked everyone who came out in support.
