Susan G. Komen Florida and Ashley Stewart Create New Partnership

To Raise Awareness, Added Funding

FLORIDA – Susan G. Komen Florida is excited to announce its latest partnership, a new relationship with the lifestyle and fashion brand, Ashley Stewart. The partnership is part of a larger, national effort with Komen to help expand Komen messages, including Know Your Girls, to a key audience that Ashley Stewart considers their constituents.

“This is an exciting new partnership that will help Komen to generate even more awareness in the fight against breast cancer,” shared Kate Watt, executive director of Susan G. Komen Florida. “We’ve found that the most successful way to beat this disease is early detection. The more awareness we have, the more people we can reach, and the more cancer we can find early. And, monies raised from this national effort will help us get even closer to finding a cure for all breast cancer.”

This year-long partnership will be an important vehicle featuring various activations and engagement opportunities across the country. To celebrate the launch of the collaboration, Ashley Stewart is donating $1 from every bra purchased and offering 40% off any full-price bra purchase with the code FIGHTBACK throughout the entire month of February in 2019. Funds raised through these efforts will support the Komen’s Know Your Girls campaign, in partnership with the Ad Councilto raise awareness on the health disparity and the importance of screening and early detection. By giving black women the tools to take charge of their breast health, Komen hopes to help avoid unnecessary breast cancer deaths.

Florida Ashley Stewart stores are located in Miami and Orlando, but local women can save themselves a trip by shopping online at www.ashleystewart.com to have their purchases count.
