Grandma’s Angels are thrilled to announce Olivia Knowles, founder of Olivia’s Hot Cocoa Stand, as their featured speaker at their 9th Annual Holiday Luncheon on November 19th at the Sailfish Club. Olivia, now 14, began her remarkable journey in philanthropy at just 6 years old when she set up a hot cocoa stand to raise funds for “children who did not have as much as she did.” She and her friends proudly raised $81 in that first year, and the tradition has grown every year since, transforming into a vibrant community event that draws neighbors, friends, teachers, classmates and even strangers, all united in the spirit of giving.
The annual event, which benefits Grandma’s Place, an emergency shelter for children in Royal Palm Beach, FL, has blossomed into a festive family night filled with baked goods, hot cocoa, a chance to visit with Santa, and a neighborhood scavenger hunt to find the best holiday lights. Olivia’s passion and the community’s support have been instrumental in the event’s success; together, they have raised over $22,000 to support this vital organization.
Olivia’s motto when planning her event with her family each year is “Small things turn into BIG things when we do them TOGETHER” This event exemplifies how one person’s small gesture can grow into a cherished tradition that changes lives. Join us and be part of the difference.
“We are incredibly proud to have Olivia speak at this year’s event,” said Joan O’Connell, Board President of Grandma’s Place. “Her dedication is inspiring, and her story shows the power of compassion and community.”Grandma’s Angels 9h Annual Holiday Luncheon is being held on Tuesday, November 19th at the Sailfish Club.
