Background: PB Parenting magazine started four years ago after Felonice Merriman moved to Palm Beach County with her young daughter and noticed there wasn’t a lot of information accessible for moms and dads to find out about fun things to do with their children and local family related resources available in the community. With a background in graphic design and publishing, she made PB Parenting a reality. During the first year of publishing, she teamed up with another local mom, Jennifer Preville, who had an extensive background in advertising and marketing. Together they have grown the publication to 15,000 copies which are delivered to over 700 family friendly locations in Palm Beach County and are available for free. In addition to their monthly publication, PB Parenting also engages readers via a weekly e-newsletter and their facebook page (www.facebook.com/pbparenting). For the past 4 years, the magazine has been providing parents a free local resource in print and online to help find summer camps. For the second year in a row, they decided to go beyond print and the web and provide families with a face to face opportunity to meet camps at their annual Summer Camp Expo.
