Women’s Chamber of Commerce to Host 17th Annual Giraffe Awards
West Palm Beach, FL – Susan McCormick 2nd Vice President, and Leslie Garcia-Furey, Director, of The Women’s Chamber of Commerce of Palm Beach County, are honored to announce that the 17th Annual Giraffe Awards in honor of Women’s History Month will be held on Wednesday March 28th, at the Kravis Center Cohen Pavilion in West Palm Beach. There will be an Auction and Expo from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm with a Dinner and Ceremony to begin at 7:00 pm.
The Women’s Chamber selected the giraffe over 16 years
ago as a symbol of accomplishment for women who have “stuck their necks out” in business and in the community. Moreover, like a giraffe, the Honorees stand tall in their community; have a natural beauty that radiates and a unique pattern that sets them apart from the pack.
Giraffe Award Honorees serve as role models for other women, mentor women, and promote professional development for women in the workplace and the Community.
The Women’s Chamber is pleased to announce that our Keynote Speaker will be Dominique McClain Barteet, RPh. CEO/Founder of Onesole. Dominique is a pharmacist who invented Onesole – “The Original Interchangeable Shoe” with no business or design experience. She has sold over one million pair and Onesole is now in over 80 countries. She recently was the season finale winner on ABC’s Shark Tank and was chosen as Best Product Made in America on World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer. Dominique has declined the offer made to her on Shark Tank and has decided to keep Onesole made in USA. In addition to Onesole, Dominique is a motivational speaker and mentor to other entrepreneurs. Onesole supports many philanthropic causes. A television reality show is currently being filmed on the phenomenon of her success and challenges along the way.
