To celebrate, the Wellington-based foundation will host a ladies tea party on Sunday, March 30, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., at The District in The Mall at Wellington Green. Guests will enjoy a luxurious afternoon filled with tea, cocktails, gourmet bites, inspiring conversations, and more.
The foundation’s founder, Evelyn Metellus, understands firsthand the emotional toll of hair loss. After losing her hair at the age of eight due to a house fire, the Wellington salon owner turned her journey into a mission—helping others reclaim their confidence by providing customized medical-grade wigs for individuals battling conditions such as cancer and alopecia. “Creating these special wigs for my clients is my passion,” said Metellus. “I love to see the transformation—not just in their appearance, but in their self-confidence. My survivors and customers are brave and strong and inspire me daily.” Unlike traditional wigs, medical-grade wigs are designed with specialized materials to provide maximum comfort for individuals with sensitive scalps due to medical treatments or conditions.
